For my Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, I chose ten songs that explain feeling in either the act or scene in the play.The first song is “We will rock you” by Queen. I chose this song because at the beginning of the play there was a fight between Gregory and Sampson. I chose this as the first song because it explains the rivalry between the Capulet and Montague families. It explain she hatred between the families.

The next song I chose for the CD was “Lonely” by Akon. I selected the song because it showed the emotion of Romeo. During the second scene of act 1,Romeo was feeling sad because his former love Roseline  turned him down. Hefelt as if Roseline was his only love, and there would be no one to take her place.

The third song I chose was “The First Time I Saw Your Face” by  David Cook. I used this song to tell the emotion in act 1 scene 5, when Juliet and Romeo met for the first time. Yes it was love at first sight, as they gazed in each others eyes, while dancing the night away. The that is why I chose that song.

The last 2 songs in the CD represent act 2 scene 2, otherwise known as the famous balcony scene. The two songs  that  I chose were “Have You Ever” by Brandy and “Lets Get Married” by Jagged Edge. I chose these songs to represent when Romeo had asked Juliet’s hand in marriage. Also because of the love and romance in this scene.

What is love?

Love is the blood that courses through your veins

Love is that last breath you take

Love is that sense of desire in her eyes

Once I was in love, or that is what I thought

She meant everything to me

From her beautiful smile, to her way she showed her affection for me

She was my everything, my love, my pride and joy, my girl

Or that’s what I thought…

Her love became lies, and pride and joy became avoiding

And she sure was not my girl anymore

At that point I had to end it all

I thought of the good times (very few)

I thought of bad times (about a million)

We finally broke up, and since then it’s difficult to find a mate

But if there is someone out there for me

She would have to be pretty, trust worthy, respectful

And most important she has to love me

Once in someones life there is a nuisance

Or something they just cannot stand

Something that drove them mad, something that sent a chill up their spine

Or something that took them to an eternity in hell

For me it was this one abandon house that sat next to ours

On the left side of our block

As a child I feared the house with its brown color and gross features

At day it would glow from the sun’s rays, seaming innocent

However in the night the house was dark and mysterious

I thought if I stood to close to it something would snatch me in

And every night as i lay in bed, a thumping sound would come from my wall

Boom boom boom, it was like someone wanted to go through our wall

This went on forever it drove me out my mind

I felt insane, I thought  “Why?”

And still up to today in my house every night, you would hear

Have you ever liked a person so much that if that person knew,  your life would be so much better. Well that is how I feel about this one girl. We have been friends for about 5 going on 6 months, and she is really great. She’s pretty, funny, smart, and cute (yes pretty and cute are 2 different things) everything I would ever want. She gives me feeling that everything is great in the world.

Let me tell you a little story. One day 2 months ago right before winter break, I told her that I liked her. She took it pretty well. It was better than any rejection from any other girl. She told me about her situation, and I thought about it. From that day on I have been trying to muster up the courage to tell her how I actually feel about her ( didn’t really do that). I have been failing at that, but one day I will go out of my way and tell her!

Friends who are they? They are people who you hangout with. They are people you laugh and joke with. Most importantly they are people  you count on in thick and thin. I would tell you about my friends, but that would take ages. So I will explain our group.

Our group consists of  about 10 people with my friend Marvin as leader, me second in command, and my friends Kyle and Zach third in command. See the concept of our group is to be yourself. Our group is meant for people to be around people who you joke with and count on, to join together at a lunch table everyday. See group has no boundaries , anyone can join and everyone can have friends outside the group. Even though we aren’t the most popular kids, we will go down in FLC history.

Family, you can’t choose them from the shelves at your local grocery market. You’re stuck with for the rest of  your life, it is going to be an agonizing world of hell! Just kidding, there is nothing like family. Being around people that love you and care for you sounds like a great deal to me. Remember they will always have your back no matter what.

Let me tell you a little about my family. There are 4 of us including me, there is my mother Tanisha, my step- father Luis, my sister Armanii, and me Jahier. My mom is the one who keeps are family together, she makes sure that we aren’t  arguing or causing any harm each other. My step- father is the fun but stern guy who likes having fun and getting the job done. And last but not least, my little sister the crazy, funny, cute girl who all ways has my back. All of these people are all different in many ways, but they all love me for who I am

I that kid that sometimes sucks at sports, but can pull through at the end. I am that kid who is good at drawing, but needs a little work.
